Install and Setup

Download

Get the installer from the Download page - a DMG for macOS (Apple Silicon only) or an EXE for Windows (64-bit, Windows 10 or later). Every download runs as a full-capability 7-day trial - no account, no payment details, and no license key needed to start.

Install on macOS

Open the downloaded DMG. It shows a license agreement first - the same Terms and Conditions text covered below - and you click Agree before the disk image itself opens. Drag "Data Sensors" into the Applications folder, then launch it from there like any other app. The build is signed and notarized under Solev UG's own Developer ID, so it opens normally with no Gatekeeper workaround needed.

Install on Windows

Run the downloaded EXE. The installer's first screen is the same license agreement, presented as the standard "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" step - you can't continue the wizard without accepting it. The rest is an ordinary Next/Install/Finish sequence. The installer and the app itself are both signed under Solev UG.

Trial, licensing, and activation

Trial version banner showing 5 days remaining with an Enter License button

With nothing licensed yet, Data Sensors runs as a 7-day trial from first launch, at full Viewer capability - every model type available to view and train, only missing the right to export a trained model to code. A banner across the top counts down the days remaining, with an Enter License button.

Open the License dialog from that banner, from Help > License..., or with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+L - it shows your machine's own Machine ID. Email that ID to [email protected] (or use the contact form) to request a Single Machine license, or just a seat count for a Floating license shared across a team - no Machine ID needed for that one. You'll get back either a .dslic license file to activate locally, or a license server URL your organization runs itself. There's no account to create and no license portal to sign in to.

Back in the License dialog, choose License File or License Server, point it at the .dslic file (via Browse) or enter the server URL, and click Activate. See Licensing for how node-locked and floating licenses differ, and Terms and Conditions for the full terms you accepted during installation.
